You’ll collaborate with a dedicated district team during the 2026-2027 school year and help children reach individualized learning goals in a positive environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the elementary school level
- Strong knowledge of best practices for IEP development, instructional interventions, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Current resume and proof of MN Teaching Certification are required for application consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs within a resource room setting
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and school staff
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to accommodate specific learning styles and goals
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and communicate student growth with key stakeholders
- Engage in multidisciplinary meetings, staff collaboration, and professional development opportunities
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming classroom centered on respect and support
