This contract opportunity is ideal for a Special Education Teacher experienced in Elementary DCD Centerbase settings who thrives on creating inclusive learning plans and fostering student growth. You'll work onsite within a supportive team to design and implement individualized strategies that empower each learner.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required); please ensure your certification and resumé are included with your application.
- Demonstrated experience or training in Special Education, specifically serving students with developmental and cognitive delays at the elementary level.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and support teams.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, behavioral interventions, data collection, and adaptive curriculum planning.
- Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, and positive educational environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support within a centerbased elementary DCD classroom.
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and assessment teams.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions for optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate daily with general education teachers, related service providers, and instructional assistants.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements and district guidelines.
