Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification in Wisconsin)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and legal compliance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet individual student needs in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with general education staff and other school professionals to promote inclusion and accommodate learning differences
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
- Develop, implement, and review effective classroom management strategies
- Communicate consistently with families and caregivers, fostering supportive relationships
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
