Key Qualifications:
- Valid LBS1 endorsement and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a self-contained or autism program setting
- Strong understanding of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Creative, flexible, and passionate about supporting diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Instruct and support 3rd-5th grade students within a self-contained autism program, ensuring individualized attention and instruction
- Develop, adapt, and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student's IEP
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and school staff to foster a positive classroom environment
- Maintain progress records and provide input for IEP meetings and student evaluations
- Cultivate strong relationships with families to support student success and growth
