Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current New York Special Education Teaching license, including all necessary endorsements and certifications.
- Experience working with students with Emotional Disabilities in grades 11-12 preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Adaptability to work effectively with diverse learners, colleagues, and families.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and state standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the academic and emotional needs of students.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with support staff, administration, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
- Uphold school and district policies, including documentation and reporting requirements.
