Make a difference as a contract Special Education Teacher in a full-time role for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is based onsite at an elementary school, supporting a moderate to severe caseload in a dynamic classroom setting. You'll have the opportunity to positively impact students’ lives while collaborating with an experienced and dedicated educational team.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required
- Experience teaching in special education, particularly with moderate to severe needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create engaging, inclusive lesson plans tailored to varying abilities
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and adjusting instruction to meet student goals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain regular communication with families, support staff, and other teachers
- Assess academic, social, and behavioral needs to inform instruction
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for student support and program planning
Working onsite, you’ll be part of a vibrant school community where every day brings new opportunities to support learners and contribute to their success. This contract position runs from August 7, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with full-time hours.
