Qualifications:
- Active Colorado teaching certification/license in Special Education
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with early childhood populations
- Knowledge of current best practices for individualized instruction
- Strong ability to collaborate with professionals, administrators, and families
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support tailored to the needs of K-12 students with varying abilities
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students, providing direct and consultative services
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administrators regarding goals, progress, and student needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and records in accordance with district policies
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student outcomes
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that celebrates every learner’s strengths
