Special Education Teacher | Federal Way, Washington

You’ll have the chance to work with the ACCESS Program, supporting elementary students with diverse needs and collaborating closely with a dynamic team.
Ideal candidates for this role will possess:
- Current Washington Special Education teaching certification
- Experience developing and delivering IEPs for elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with caseload management and adaptable teaching strategies
- Collaborative mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Compassion for building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing individualized education plans for students in the K–4 ACCESS Program
- Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Monitoring and documenting student progress according to district standards
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing input to support student success
- Utilizing the district’s IEP system (training will be provided as part of onboarding)
- Managing indirect hours, which will include paid team meetings and administrative tasks
