Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in both resource and self-contained models is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and evidence-based practices
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to create positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environments
- Open to contract roles and available Monday–Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Manage caseloads of approximately 25 students, maintaining accurate records and timelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Write, update, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize data to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports all learners
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities as required
