Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Missouri Special Education teaching credentials required
- Prior experience working with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Ability to fulfill all general responsibilities associated with Special Education teaching
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, adaptable growth mindset, and consistently positive attitude
- Experience with either self-contained or resource classroom settings is a plus
- Passionate about making a difference in students’ academic and personal growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to K-12 students with special needs in accordance with each IEP
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to student goals and learning abilities
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings to review and update goals
- Provide positive behavior support and engage students in activities that encourage participation and success
