This full-time role is onsite, running from 8:00AM to 2:30PM, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 25, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts teaching licensure/certification in either Moderate or Severe Disabilities
- Recent school-based experience in a Special Education setting
- Familiarity with working with elementary-aged students, especially those with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
- Successful completion of a CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may be accepted for fingerprints)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to delivering individualized instruction and support for student IEP goals
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to 2nd and 3rd grade students, adapting lessons and materials as needed
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that meet each student’s unique learning profile
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
- Manage and support paraprofessionals as needed
- Uphold IEP mandates and partner with families for ongoing communication
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and required training
