Special Education Teacher | Trenton, Missouri

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Skilled in classroom management, individualized instruction, and behavioral support strategies
- Proven ability to engage students with diverse learning and emotional needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained classroom for students aged 11-15, managing a caseload of approximately 20
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
- Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Create a positive, structured learning space to meet emotional, social, and academic needs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
