As a Special Education Teacher, you'll help foster positive learning experiences for students, ensuring they receive the individualized support they need to thrive. This position runs from ASAP through May 27, 2027, with daily hours from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate (must be provided)
- Previous experience in special education, preferably working with students on the autism spectrum
- Solid classroom management and instructional adaptation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in Autistic Support classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with support staff and aides (PCA support available in every classroom)
- Modify instruction and resources to meet students’ needs
- Track student progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and team members
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment
