Multiple full-time and part-time contract opportunities are now available at schools in the Phoenix and Glendale areas. Openings include a range of self-contained and resource settings, such as Emotional Disabilities, Cross Category Academic programs in Math and ELA, and K–8 resource services—which may be combined for a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in self-contained or resource environments, supporting student IEP goals
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans for a variety of learning profiles
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student growth
- Manage classroom behavior while fostering a safe, inclusive learning space
- Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and compliance documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Educator Certification required
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is mandatory
- Experience with students with emotional disabilities, cross-categorical academic needs, or autism preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse grade levels (Preschool, Elementary, Junior High)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Up-to-date resume reflecting relevant SPED experience
