Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Arizona Mild/Moderate or Cross-Categorical (Cross-Cat) Teaching Licensure.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher within a school environment preferred.
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet a range of learning abilities and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 students, providing tailored instructional support in both group and individualized settings.
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies for students with mild to moderate learning differences.
- Track student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching methods as needed to ensure student success.
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to deliver integrated support.
Position Details:
- Typical campus hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, with an early release on Thursdays at 12:45 PM.
