Qualifications & Skills:
- Active IVP fingerprint clearance (required)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12
- Experience delivering differentiated instruction to students with varying educational needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies for individualized education programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and assess individualized education plans for K-12 students
- Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skills to students with special needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and update IEPs as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic student support
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
- Attend meetings, professional development sessions, and team collaborations as required
