Special Education Teacher in Goose Creek, SC

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher in vibrant elementary school settings for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role begins August 5th, 2026 and continues through June 4th, 2027, with a full-time weekly schedule at 37.5 hours. All services are to be provided onsite in a collaborative, team-based atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
- Current South Carolina Special Education Teaching License (SC SPED LICENSE) required
- Experience in one or more of the following settings: mild, autism, multiple severe disabilities, preschool, or behavioral/emotional disabilities
- Strong classroom management skills and an adaptable teaching style
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Maintain accurate progress records and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Create engaging, accessible lesson plans tailored to a variety of learners
- Support social, emotional, and academic growth
