ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a center-based Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program serving K–5 students in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area (Greenville region) for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, school-based role is ideal for educators experienced in early childhood or elementary special education, structured classroom environments, and individualized instruction.
Position Overview:
- Full-time, school-based role for the 2026–2027 school year
- On-site position within a center-based ASD program
- Small caseload of approximately 3–5 students
- Elementary (K–5) student population
- Program located within a general education building
- Located near the greater Grand Rapids metro area
- Structured and supportive classroom setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Implement behavioral and academic intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and Michigan guidelines
- Foster a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience working with ASD or elementary students preferred
- Strong background in IEP development and implementation
- Ability to support students with behavioral and academic needs
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
