Key Qualifications:
- Valid NC Educator Certification in Special Education or Early Childhood Education
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring adapted and general curriculum support
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet student needs in both pull-out and center-based programs
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
- Previous experience in a K–8 or early childhood setting preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide special education services in resource room and small group settings (K-5)
- Support students in IDMO and adapted curriculum programs at the elementary level
- Design individualized instruction for K–2 and general curriculum students
- Serve as an EC teacher for pre-K and K–8 center-based programs, helping students achieve developmental and academic milestones
- Collaborate with general education staff, ancillary providers, and families to monitor and report student progress
- Implement IEP goals and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
