This full-time role offers consistent hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:40 PM, and involves working with both high school and middle school students. Opportunities include resource and co-teaching positions, as well as a unique middle school leave replacement through December.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Prior experience in resource or co-teaching preferred
- Strong commitment to individualized instruction and student advocacy
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments and embrace diversity
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized or small group support to students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to co-teach inclusive classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Communicate proactively with families, school staff, and administration
- Maintain thorough records and participate in team meetings
