The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and requires a dedicated in-person presence, working approximately 33.25 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Professional Educator License (PEL) required—please provide a current copy with your application
- Prior experience or strong interest working as a Special Education Teacher in a resource room setting
- In-depth understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Skill in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs in a supportive, resource room environment
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster an encouraging and safe space where students are supported academically, emotionally, and socially
- Employ creative problem-solving to remove learning barriers and help students achieve their goals
- Uphold district guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and compliance at all times
