Special Education Teacher in Gypsum, CO
Step into a rewarding role working with early childhood learners as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. This opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering a consistent full-time schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Previous experience teaching in early childhood or Special Education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and support personnel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored instruction for PreK students with diverse needs
- Create and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor progress, assess student growth, and adjust strategies as needed
- Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment
- Partner with families and professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Travel between assigned district sites if needed
