Special Education Teacher in Hanover, PA

We have an exceptional contract opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support pre-school students in a dynamic, itinerant role. This position is based near Hanover, PA, and requires travel throughout the area, including parts of Adams County, with a home base at NOCO.
As a Special Education Teacher for an itinerant pre-school program, you’ll work in various educational settings, collaborating closely with families and school staff to address the unique needs of each student. You’ll use your expertise to deliver specialized instruction, create supportive learning environments, and adapt curriculum as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certificate (must be submitted with your resume)
- Previous experience in special education, preferably with early childhood or pre-school populations
- Ability to travel between multiple sites in the Hanover and Adams County area
- Reliable transportation is essential
- Strong communication skills and an adaptable, solution-focused mindset
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and supports for pre-school students with special needs across various locations
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and team members
- Adapt materials and approaches to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes according to state guidelines
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
