Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education (required)
- Prior experience or strong passion for working in Autism Support classrooms
- Ability to create, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Talent for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and dedicated support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students with autism, individualizing lesson plans and supports as needed
- Partner closely with PCAs to ensure students receive consistent, appropriate assistance
- Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student
- Monitor progress, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as a valued specialist
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom that promotes student confidence and achievement
