Qualifications:
- Current, valid Special Education Teacher License issued by the state of Texas
- EC-6 Core certification and EC-12 Special Education certification both required
- Previous experience working in a K-12 setting is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support tailored to students with diverse learning needs from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment promoting academic and behavioral growth
- Utilize evidence-based methods and interventions to help each student succeed
- Track progress, assess student achievement, and maintain up-to-date records
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, administration, and parents to ensure student success
