Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Connecticut Special Education Teaching licensure and certification required
- Proven experience in school-based settings working with K-12 students
- Ability to provide professional references for credentialing
- Background working with students with a variety of needs, including Autism and multiple disabilities, is highly desirable
- Flexible, collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ready for virtual (Zoom) interviews as part of the hiring process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide instruction and support in both specialized and inclusive classroom environments
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to foster student success and independence
- Collaborate regularly with staff, parents, therapists, and administrators to monitor student progress and optimize learning plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate student growth and goals effectively
