Serve middle and elementary learners in a full-time contract position, providing vital instruction and guidance to students with unique learning needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in a self-contained, non-severe setting at the middle school level.
- Support elementary resource students (grades K-5), adapting lessons and strategies to meet diverse academic and behavioral needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Maintain accurate records on student progress, accommodations, and goals.
- Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment fostering student growth and engagement.
- Effectively manage classroom behaviors using evidence-based interventions.
- Communicate regularly with staff, administrators, and families regarding student performance and support plans.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials, with relevant state certification.
- Prior experience teaching in self-contained and/or resource settings strongly preferred.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials for students with varying learning needs.
- Commitment to collaborative teamwork and student-centered practices.
This full-time contracted role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, through June 2027, ensuring an opportunity for long-term impact with a consistent group of students.
