High School Special Education Teacher | Hindsville, Arkansas

Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required; Master’s preferred
- Demonstrated experience with high school students in inclusive or resource settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Skilled in differentiated instruction and modifying curriculum to accommodate diverse learner needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide push-in support to high school students with varying needs within general education classrooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons and materials, ensuring all students can access the curriculum
- Monitor student progress and regularly update individual education programs (IEPs)
- Advocate for appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful classroom environment
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development
