Special Education Teacher in Hingham, MA

Located in a collaborative school environment near Hingham, this assignment runs from September 1st to December 23rd, 2026.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for a manageable elementary caseload, creating individualized education plans (IEPs), tracking progress, and implementing engaging curriculum adaptations. As a valued team member, you’ll work alongside general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure every student receives the support and encouragement they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Certification:
- Current Massachusetts special education teaching certification required
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students in a resource or self-contained classroom preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data documentation
- Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
- Adaptability and creativity in instructional methods
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective lessons for students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies and track student progress
- Coordinate with support providers and families for comprehensive educational support
