Special Education Teacher - Hugo, Minnesota

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to work onsite with 9th-12th grade students starting August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027. In this role, you’ll partner closely with colleagues and leverage your skills in behavior support to positively impact at-risk students.
The workday runs from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment dedicated to student growth within a supportive school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Minnesota Special Education License (EBD, ASD, or ABS)
- Experience with at-risk student populations
- Strong skills in behavioral support and effective classroom management
- Demonstrated collaborator eager to work closely with other educators and support staff
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Out-of-field licensure support is available for qualifying candidates
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs for high school students
- Provide targeted behavioral and academic interventions
- Communicate progress and strategies with families and colleagues
- Develop and maintain an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and IEP processes
