Make a meaningful difference as a dedicated educator working with elementary students in an ASD Support Classroom. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from 8/19/26 through 5/29/27 and focuses on delivering specialized education and support to young learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder. You’ll work closely with paraprofessionals in the classroom, employing evidence-based strategies to promote growth in academics, communication, motor, and social skills.
Ideal candidates are passionate about special education, have experience in autism support, and thrive in collaborative school settings. You will play a pivotal role, shaping individualized programs and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every child’s unique strengths are celebrated.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, Autism Specialist, or similar role at the elementary level
- Deep familiarity with evidence-based ASD instructional strategies
- Strong ability to differentiate instruction and track student progress
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop and carry out effective, individualized programming for students with ASD
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals to maximize student support
- Integrate a variety of instructional approaches tailored to student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence
