In this contract opportunity, you’ll work closely with a small caseload of students, providing tailored instruction and specialized support. You’ll spend your days engaging with students aged 3–4 years old, drawing on your experience and training to inspire both social and academic development. Your attention will make a real difference as you manage cases, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and work as a vital member of the special education team.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Teacher Certification in the appropriate area required.
- Expertise in special education, particularly with preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and relevant intervention strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, staff, and young learners.
- Experience as a case manager or willingness to take on this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Special Education Case Manager for a caseload of 4–10 preschool students (number may vary as new students qualify).
- Design and implement individualized instruction and support strategies.
- Develop, update, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance student experiences.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians.
- Facilitate student progress documentation and reporting.
Position Details:
- Contract position running through May 2027.
- Full-time hours (37.5 hours/week, 5 days/week).
- Single school site with supportive colleagues.
- Start date as soon as possible after HR clearance.
