Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Possession of an accredited bachelor’s degree
- Active and valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) certificate
- Recent completion of fingerprinting via TEA, or willingness to complete fingerprinting prior to onboarding
- Flexibility in caseload preference: options include TLC/Total Language or Life Skills settings
- Prior experience with elementary-aged children highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs within a structured classroom setting
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse learning needs and promote the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student goals are met
- Manage classroom behavior with evidence-based strategies
- Maintain detailed documentation for compliance and progress monitoring
- Engage in ongoing professional development
