This rewarding contract position begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, with a steady schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily), all at a single school location in the Northwest region. You will lead a self-contained ESE classroom, working with students who have a range of learning abilities and exceptionalities. Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida ESE certification is required
- K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification also required
- Previous self-contained classroom experience is essential
- Comfortable working with varying learning levels and exceptionalities
- Ability to obtain and verify fingerprints for eligibility through the AHCA Clearinghouse, or willingness to complete new fingerprinting if necessary
- Successful completion of a virtual prescreen interview
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and manage classroom activities for students with exceptional needs
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique strengths
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with support staff and families to promote student success and growth
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
