Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Previous experience working with diverse learners in a school setting
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging instructional activities tailored to student needs
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support growth
- Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to achieve student goals
- Provide a positive, supportive classroom environment
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and required documentation
