Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Proven experience working with K-12 students who have a wide range of learning, emotional, or physical disabilities
- Proficient in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Ability to effectively manage classrooms and adapt instruction to meet student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instructional plans in compliance with IEPs
- Assess student progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed for academic and behavioral development
- Cooperate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure integrated services
- Engage and communicate proactively with students’ families to encourage ongoing support
