Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom strategies
- Ability to collaborate and communicate well with students, staff, and parents
- Passion for supporting students with a range of learning abilities and needs
- Familiarity with progress monitoring and adapting instruction based on data
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized lesson plans to accommodate students’ unique learning needs
- Implement IEPs and monitor progress toward educational goals
- Foster a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials for students’ diverse abilities
- Assess students’ abilities and report on their academic and behavioral progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes
- Engage in professional development and attend staff meetings as required
