Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate
- Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate
- Special Education Endorsement required
- Previous experience working within ERC (Extended Resource Classroom) settings preferred
- Skilled in adapting instruction for a range of disabilities and severities
- Comfortable with personal care, including toileting, for students with higher support needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with fellow educators, therapists, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging special education instruction to assigned K-12 caseload
- Assess student abilities, create individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor progress
- Provide direct academic, behavioral, and functional support in a classroom setting
- Address personal care needs of students as required
- Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to ensure holistic support
- Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Foster a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all learners
