Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification in New Jersey (TOSD endorsement required)
- Prior experience working with high school students, especially in a special education setting
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and differentiate instruction
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping students succeed
- Skilled in collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized lessons in alignment with IEP goals
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Administer assessments and track student progress
- Foster strong relationships with students, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student evaluations
