Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current LBS1 endorsement required; candidates who have previously held a PEL with LBS1 will also be considered
- Previous experience teaching or supporting special education students, preferably at the elementary level
- Ability to create and adapt individualized learning plans and accommodations
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and students
- Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative team-player mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for elementary students (grades 1-4) within a self-contained, cross-category classroom setting
- Adapt curriculum, lessons, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs and IEPs
- Partner with classroom staff, therapists, and families to ensure student success
- Manage classroom routines, behavior plans, and foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
