Seeking compassionate and knowledgeable professionals to join a dedicated team supporting students with diverse learning needs! This contract-based role is tailored for two Exceptional Children's Teachers to serve as Special Education professionals—one will focus on a self-contained classroom while the other will provide resource support. Both positions are vital in promoting student success and helping learners achieve their IEP goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with students with exceptional needs
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and individualized instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Deliver engaging instruction in a self-contained classroom or as a resource teacher, depending on assignment
- Conduct ongoing assessments and modify teaching strategies based on student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal and state guidelines
