Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Missouri Special Education teaching license required (candidates with full licensure in another state and pending MO licensure will be considered)
- Experience in resource, co-teaching, or self-contained settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills, collaborative spirit, and adaptability to serve diverse learning needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students with varying abilities in resource or self-contained programs, based on assignment
- Develop and implement IEPs collaboratively with staff, families, and service providers
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to manage communications, behavioral support, and academic planning
- Foster positive relationships with students, providing guidance and advocacy
- Maintain accurate records, participate in meetings, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
