Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri Special Education Teacher license required
- Candidates with pending Missouri licensure considered if fully licensed in another state
- Strong knowledge of special education strategies, compliance, and individualized instruction
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Dedicated to meeting each student’s unique educational needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in both resource and self-contained settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, families, and support staff
- Track and report on student progress to ensure academic growth
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Support positive classroom management and build rapport with students
