Special Education Teacher – High Needs Elementary Classroom
Location: Kearney, MO
Position: Special Education Teacher
Grade Level: Elementary
Classroom Size: 3–5 students
Pay: $40–$45 per hour, based on experience
Contract: Through ProCare Therapy
SPECIAL EDUCATION CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a small, high-needs elementary classroom in Kearney, Missouri.
This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who enjoys creating individualized learning experiences, building meaningful relationships with students, and working in a supportive school environment. With a classroom size of just 3–5 students, you’ll have the opportunity to provide highly individualized instruction and support.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized lessons and instructional strategies
Support students’ academic, behavioral, social, and functional development
Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Follow students’ IEPs and provide accommodations and modifications as appropriate
Qualifications
Valid Missouri Special Education teaching certification or appropriate credentials
Experience working with students with significant or high support needs preferred
