ProCare Therapy is seeking Paraprofessionals and Behavior Technicians (Para/BTs) for multiple school-based contract opportunities in the Kenosha, Wisconsin area for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions support students with special education and behavioral needs across a variety of classroom settings and grade levels.
We are looking for compassionate and reliable professionals who are passionate about helping students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially within a supportive educational environment.
Position Details
- Full-time opportunity
- 2026–2027 school year assignments
- Openings across elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Opportunities may include:
One-on-one student support
- Classroom paraprofessional support
- Behavioral intervention support
- Autism support programs
- Special education classroom assistance
- Caseloads and student needs may vary depending on assignment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students throughout the school day
- Assist with classroom instruction and student engagement
- Support implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Help students with transitions, routines, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality within the school setting
- Support positive behavior strategies and emotional regulation
- Promote a safe and structured learning environment
Requirements
- Apply for the DPI Certificate
- Have 48 hours of college credits or associates degree or apply for an pass the WorkKeys Exam
- Must meet applicable Wisconsin paraprofessional qualification requirements
- Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred
- Special education, behavioral, ABA, or classroom experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of a licensed teacher
- Ability to provide patient, compassionate, and consistent student support
