Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction based on students’ individual needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent/guardian conferences
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Follow district and state requirements for special education services
Qualifications
- Wisconsin Special Education teaching license/certification, or eligibility to obtain one
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous school-based special education experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
