Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate
- Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate
- SPED Endorsement required
- Previous resource classroom (ERC) experience preferred
- Confident providing support for all levels of disability, including medically fragile students
- Comfortable with aspects of personal care (toileting)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, adapt, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for a diverse caseload
- Work collaboratively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and support providers
- Deliver engaging instruction and modify curriculum as needed for student success
- Effectively track student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a safe, positive, and welcoming classroom environment for students of varied abilities
- Assist with daily living activities, as needed, while ensuring dignity and respect for all students
