Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate and State Teaching Certificate
- Special Education endorsement required
- Prior experience in special education classrooms (elementary or secondary)
- Comfortable supporting students with varying needs—including toileting and medical fragility
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Previous experience in educational resource classrooms (ERC) preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to K-12 students with a broad spectrum of disabilities
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet varied learning requirements
- Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Communicate progress and collaborate effectively with families and guardians
- Participate in professional development and training sessions as required
