Essential Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Special Education Certification
- Previous experience or a strong interest in working with elementary, middle, or high school age groups
- Passion for helping students achieve their personal and academic goals
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to create and implement effective individualized educational plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver tailored instruction to students with exceptionalities in small groups or one-on-one settings
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet each student’s IEP goals and learning styles
- Maintain accurate records on student progress, behaviors, and instructional adjustments
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages growth and participation
- Collaborate with fellow educators, school staff, and families to deliver comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute knowledgeable input to decision-making processes
This opportunity offers stable, full-time hours with a schedule spanning Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, from August 12, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Compensation is highly competitive, with weekly pay at $40 per hour.
