Desired Qualifications
- Valid and current California Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Moderate)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially as a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher
- Cleared to start immediately, with all required background checks and CA credentialing complete
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with classroom teachers, specialists, administrators, and families
- Proficiency in creating and implementing IEPs, and adapting curriculum to meet individualized student needs
- Effective time management and organizational abilities for managing caseload, documentation, and meetings
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Assess student needs, plan lessons, and implement strategies to support academic and behavioral growth
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and update IEPs as needed
- Work in partnership with general education teachers to modify curricula and ensure classroom accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Build rapport with students and their families, fostering a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
